"MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL IN CHRIST"

May you find this Christmas inner peace
Equal to the patient love you give,
Releasing all the pain you can release,
Renewing all the grace with which you live.
Yearnings may you turn to rhapsodies,
Choosing to find happiness in beauty,
Holding in their haunting melodies
Riches that sustain your sense of duty.
In anger may you find an evening star
Showing you the way to Bethlehem.
The angels that watch naked from afar
May you hear sing of who would none condemn.
As all you love are blessed in having you
So may you feel the joy in all you do.

DECEMBER 2009 BULLETIN

A Blessed Christmas and Blessed New Year 2010
The Dawning of a new day [Luke 1:78-79]

The arrival of Jesus signaled the beginning of a new era.
God entered history in a personal way, and made it clear that He is on man's side, doing everything possible to save man.

In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, God is presented as speaking the creation into existence. Everything seen and unseen, called into being by God's spoken word.

This time God's word takes on human form and enters history in the person of Jesus.

[Isaiah 9:2] He came as the Great Light, to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide out feet into the way of peace. It was the dawn of a new day.
(Day spring from on high has visited us)
[Luke 1:78] because of the tender mercies of God.
He brought redemption, salvation, life, light and peace. Truly Jesus is the light which gives light to all man.
Celebrate JESUS

How's Your Firewall?
1 Kings 22 (The Message Version)

Make sure you're protected.

We've recently expanded our offices and in the process of moving, we've had to invest in new telecommunications, office equipment, alarms, network stuff and so on. The one thing that we initially forgot was a firewall to safeguard us from internet pirates.

Now, if you're tech savvy - you'll understand that we could have been in for some trouble. In theory some malicious hackers could get in and do some damage to our network or worse yet, install viruses or steal data.

If you're not tech savvy, let me try it this way: would you drive your car without wearing a seat belt or having insurance? Would you leave your house without locking all the doors and windows (ok, now that I don't live in London, I can see people might). Do you leave your money under the mattress?

I am hoping you say 'no' to most of the above, but here's a question that really is the start of what I want to share with you this time: How's your Firewall!

Not the one on your network or the free one that came with your home computer bundle - I mean the one that's in your heart!. The one that protects your life.

When was the last time you checked it was configured properly and doing its job right. maybe you've turned it off because everything feels safe or maybe it's overloaded from being under too much attack. Either way - if it isn't working - you might get wounded or even die (I don't mean literally but maybe emotionally, spiritually, mentally or soulishly)

1 King 22 is a great story that starts out with a season of peace, then encounters prophetic consultation, disbelief, stubbornness, a bad decision, blood shed, and then death, if you don't have time to read it, here's the Key facts:

Peace had been enjoyed for 3 years.

The King of Israel went into war disguised; in other words, he didn't go as King )who God had made him to be) but as someone of no significant. He had a chink in the armour he was wearing, which 'randomly' led to his death.

This is one of those stories that makes me think - am I hearing god properly and will I listen to REAL words He speaks! Can I hear from Him and what if the firewall on my heart doesn't let the God traffic through but let's the hacker traffic in? What if there's a gap in my armour that could let a random arrow pierce my heart and cause my death: emotional, spiritual or otherwise.

I wonder if there has ever been a moment in your life when there your firewall wasn't working and you got hurt? Have you recovered? Have you lost your way? Or have you died in some way? May be you've been sitting around on your hands, enjoying peace and thinking there's no need to listen to the warning that God is giving.

Think about this story.

I want to encourage you to take a moment at the beginning of every day to make sure that before you do anything 'ask God guidance' (verse 4-5), make sure that you then listen to His guidance - this way you won't have to miss the mark and suffer from a random attack.

Prayer: Father I thank you for your wisdom and I pray that there is always an open connection to my heart. Please show me the way, show me Your way and guide my path. Help me to make good decisions and give me the strength to fight, the courage to stand and the passion to pursue all that You have for me.

God the Parent
Whenever your kids are out of control,
you can take comfort from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to God's kids.

After creating heaven and earth, God's created Adam and Eve.
And the first thing He said to them was 'Don't'.
'Don't what?' Adam asked.
'Don't eat the Forbidden Fruit." God replied.
'Forbidden fruit? We got Forbidden fruit?
Hey, Eve....we got Forbidden Fruit!"
'No way!"
'Where?'
'Don't eat that fruit!" sad God.
'Why?'
'Because I am your Creator and I said so!' said God,
wondering why he hadn't stopped after making the elephants.
A few minutes later God saw the kids having an apple break and was angry.

'Didn't I tell you not to eat that fruit?' the 'First Parent' asked.
'Uh,' Adam replied.
'Then why did you?'
'I dunno,' Eve answered.
'She started it!' Adam said.
'Did not!'
'DID so!'
'DID NOT!'
Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own....
thus the pattern was set, and it has never changed.

Father!
St.Peter stood at the Pearly Gates, waiting for the incoming.
He saw Jesus walking by and caught his attention.
'Jesus, could you mind the gate while I go do an errand?'

'Sure,' replied Jesus. 'What do I have to do?'

'Jesus find out about the people who arrive.
Ask about their background, their family, and their lives.
Then decide if they deserve entry into Heaven.'

'Sounds easy enough. OK.' So Jesus waited at the gates while the gates was a wrinkled old man.
Jesus summoned him to the examination table and sat across from him.
He peered at the old man and asked, 'What was it you did for a living?'

The old man replied, 'I was a carpenter.'

Jesus remembered his own earthly existence and leaned forward.
'Did you have a any family?' he asked.

'Yes, I have a son, but lost him.'

Jesus leaned forward some more.
'You lost your son? Can you tell me about him?'

'Well, he had holes in his hands and feet.'

Jesus leaned forward even more and whispered,
Father?

The oldman leaned forward and whispered,
'Pinacchio?'

Zechariah 4:6-10

NOT BY human might or power, but by HIS own SPIRIT

Isaiah 60:22 "A little one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation." [v22].

The Christian church was a little one, a very small one at first - the number was once but 120, yet it became a thousand. When they come to heaven, and look back upon the smallness of their beginning, they will wonder how they got thither. It may seem to be delayed, but as the LORD will do it, so he will hasten it, he will do it in his appointed time by His wisdom, not in the time prescribed by our folly. Though it seems to tarry, it does not tarry it it come in God's time.

Zechariah 4:6-7 All the difficulties and oppositions that lie in the way shall be removed, even those they seems like a mountain [v7]. The enemies hard and proud as great mountains and make them plains. Christ is our Zerubbabel nothing is too hard for His grace to do. Zechariah 4:16 In God's work the days of small things is not to be despised. A grain of mustard seed may become a great tree. Matthew 13:31-21

Life can be complicated but.......
Happiness is really pretty simple.

SIMPLE SECRETS to a happy life.........

The heart that gives, gathers [Marianne Moore].
Change your thoughts and change your world [Norman Vincent Pearle].
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
Burn brightly without burning out [Richard Biggs].
Nothing happens ....but first a dream [Carl Sandburg].
It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life....
that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping
himself [Ralph Waldo Emerson].
Sometimes in the wind of change we find our true direction.
Throw your heart over the fence and the rest will follow [Norman Vincent Pearle].
Courage does not always roar,
Sometimes it is a quiet voice at the end of the day saying.....
"I will try again tomorrow" [Milton Berle].
Laughter is an instant vacation [Milton Berle].
The best sermons are lived, not preached [Cowboy wisdom].
The only things that stand between a person and what they meant in life are the will to try it, and the faith to believe it's possible [Rich Davos].
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things [Robert Brault].
It's choice - not change - that determines your destiny [Jean Midetch].
To love and be loved is to feel the sin from both sides [David Viscott].
Keep your face to the sunshine and you'll not see the shadows [Helen Kalleu].
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes truly endless [Mother Theresa].
Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there [Will Rogers].
Joy is a light that fills you with Hope, Faith and Love.
Find your joy and share it with others.

"THE DASH" - Making a difference with your life [Linda Ellis & Mac Anderson].

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on his tombstone from the beginning...to the end.
He noted that first came the date of his birth and spoke of the following date with tears, but he said what matters most of all....was the 'dash' between those years.
For that 'dash' represents all the time that he spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved him know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we own;
the cars .............
the house ..........
the cash ............
What matters is how much we lived and love.....
and how we spend our 'dash'.
So to think about this long and hard;
are the things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left that we can still be rearranged.
If we could slow down enough to consider what's true and real..... and always try to understand the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger and slow appreciation more and love the people in our lives........
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile..... remembering that this special 'dash' might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read.......
with your life's actions to rehash.......
would you be proud of the things they say........
about how you spent your 'dash'?

May You Be Blessed with all thing good
May your joys, like the stars at night, be too numerous to count.
May your victories be more abundant than all the grains of sand on all the beaches on all the oceans in all the world.
May lack and struggle only serve to make you stronger......
and may beauty, order and abundance be your constant companions.
May every pathway you choose lead to that which is pure and good and lovely.
May every doubt and fear be replaced by a deep abiding trust as you behold evidence of a Higher Power all around you.
And when there is only darkness and the storms of life are closing in…
May the light at the core of your being illuminate the world.
May you always be aware you are loved beyond measure and may you be willing to love unconditionally in return.
May you always feel protected and cradled in the arms of God, like the cherished child you are. And when you are tempted to judge,
may you be reminded that we are all one
and that every thought you think reverberates across the universe,
touching everyone and everything.
And when you are tempted to hold back,
may you remember that love flows best when it flows freely…
and it is in giving that we receive the greatest gift.
May you always have music and laughter and may a rainbow follow every storm.
May gladness wash away every disappointment,
may joy dissolve every sorrow…and may love ease every pain.
May every wound bring wisdom
and every trial bring triumph and with each passing day
may you live more abundantly than the day before.
May you be blessed. And may others be blessed

God's Eternal Faithfulness to HIS People
Haggai 2:7b I will fill this temple with glory

(1978 October to October 2009)

The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. "And in this place I will give peace", say the LORD of host.

In choosing to put GOD first, the little community had placed itself on the one path that led to the blessing GOD was eager to bestow.

Let us not be concerned because this church does not have gold and silver as Solomon's temple had [v8]. [v9] It shall have more glory than Solomon's. [Ecclesiastes 7:10] Say not thou that the former days were better than these. The encouragement given be strong and work, for I am with you.

Where CHRIST is, behold a greater than Solomon is there, so the heart in which he dwells, and makes a living temple, is more glorious than Solomon's temple and will be so to eternity.

GOD is asking His people to build a place for His glory to dwell. In Haggai's day, that building was a physical one. Today the 'building' is to take place in our hearts and lives both individually and cooperatively as the church. GOD desires to pour greater glory on and through His children so that the peoples of the Nations will come to JESUS, the Desire of All Nations. [v7].

Committee to the LORD to be a person in whom His glory can dwell and through whom His glory can be made manifest.

The Christian Cartoons With The Joyful Message

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent ...and so very appropriate.

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints.
We spent more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgement, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talked too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We've added years to life not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered outer space but nor inner space.
We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted our soul.
We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice..
We write more, but learn less.
We plan more, but accomplish less.
We've learned to rush, but not to wait.
We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.
A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and the a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...
Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember, to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak!
And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

Talking is something we all can do, but being pleasant takes real talent. ~ Clyde and Dee Kilough

Pleasant Tongues

All of us have experienced the comfort and soothing effect of kind and gentle words (Proverbs 25:11). Our teachers, parents, coaches, and friends have helped us from time to time. Remembering those pleasant moments is a key to developing the ability to passion wholesome and encouraging words to others. "A wholesome tongue is a free of life," says Proverbs 15:4.

You can be that tongue -- all of us an choose to think about the words we say and say how they affect others. The most marvelous thing is that this ability to choose is a great benefit for us too. The benefits that we give to others come back to us many times over.

Jeremiah 6:16 "Ask for the old path...."

New Church Order -

We are living in a world where more things seem to go worst. Crime rate is increasing. Sin and moral standards are not just coming down but collapsing, More destructive weapons are being invented that threatens the very existence of mankind.

New age concept is spreading like wild fire more in the West. They believe in creating new world order where joy and peace would prevail. They will not recognize JESUS CHRIST as the only LORD and SAVIOR of the world.

The modern church is swiftly drifting away from the old time standards of holiness and power that we read about in the BIBLE. Apostles in the BIBLE were dedicated and scarificial men of GOD who laboured hard for the KINGDOM of GOD to be established on this earth. Today's leaders want to build kingdoms around them, where their own names reign supreme.

The ancient apostles church took a bold stand against sin and righteouness and fought against worldliness creeping in to the CHURCH.

The early Christians turned the world upside down but today the world seem to be turning the CHURCH upside down.

The 21st century Christian Church is compromising with immoral practices of the world, so much so, divorce and remarriage seems to become the order of modern church.

Early Christians courageously stood up to defend the sanctity of the Christian family. Instead of sound doctrines of the BIBLE, the new church order preach to satisfy the needs of those with 'itching ears' [2 Timothy 4:4]. They preach what men like not what GOD wants.

Early Church spoke in tongues as the SPIRIT gave them utterance [Act 2:4]. But sad to say, today church order believers are taught to speak in tongues and how to prophect!.

The BIBLE says, Remove not the ancient landmark which the father have set [Proverbs 22:28].

Stolen Goose

Confessor: I have stolen a fat goose from a poultry yard!
Priest: That is very wrong.
Confessor: Would you like to accept it, Father?
Priest: Certainly not, return it to the man whom you stole it from.
Confessor: But I offered it to him and he won't have it.
Priest: In that case you can keep it yourself.
Confessor: Thank you, Father.

The Priest arrived home to find one of his geese had been stolen....

The right kind of praise is uplifting and special. Do we treat it as such?

A Word Of Praise

An old politician once noted: "Praise is like perfume. It's okay to smell it as long as you don't swallow it." Politicians pour out praise for anything that will benefit themselves it seems - that is why it does not have much value. However, honest and heartfelt praise is the right thing to do when deserved. Children need to praise to build their confidence. Workers need praise and appreciation for the job well done. We all are encouraged and inspired when honest praise is given.

In the home, the BIBLE states that a husband should praise his wife [Proverbs 31:28] when she is deserving. It is a from of appreciation and gratitude. Ia also shows the value and worth we put in on others and their deeds. It encourages continually more similar actions.

JESUS WEPT OVER IT

Christ must reach His church. He must convict our hearts of the arrogance and pride, the jealousy and divisions that has blinded our vision. We must be cleansed of these sins so Jesus can unite us against evil. [Luke 19:41] "And when He appraoched (Jerusalem), He saw the city and wept over it."

[1 Corinthians 3:3] If Jesus came today and look into His church in its carnality and division, and into our prayerlessness would tears flood His eyes over our city, even as He wept over Jerusalem?
Jesus longs to bring us to gather for prayer. He said [Luke 13:34] but you were not willing.

Hear Christ heartbeat. He said, "How often I wanted to gather your children together!"

Many a times He has called us to humble ourselves, turn from wicked ways and be united in prayer and allow Him to heal our land.

We the believing Christians, let us obey the Lord and join together for prayer.

Let Faith Assembly become a house of prayer [Mark 11:17].

THE ONE CONCERN OF THE DEVIL, etc.......

Our Beliefs

We believe there is one GOD, existing in three persons...
of the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT...
each possessing all the fullness of GOD.

GOD created humans to have fellowship with HIM, but they rejected GOD
by sinfully going their own way.
As a result, everyone needs GOD's salvation.

We believe that salvation must be received personally by repentance
and through faith in JESUS CHRIST alone.
It is achieved by the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST
and regeneration by the HOLY SPIRIT.
Its purely the work of GOD's saving grace, not human effort.

We believe that JESUS CHRIST is GOD
Who lived a sinless life on earth through the virgin birth.
HE paid for our sins by dying on the cross as our substitute.
HE rose from the dead and is the only Mediator between us and GOD.
HE will return to earth in full power and glory to conclude history.

We believe that the HOLY SPIRIT is GOD Who draws sinners to CHRIST.
HE convicts us of sin and transforms us into new creations.
HE empowers and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church.
We believe in the practicing of the Gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT.

We believe that the church's role is to glorify GOD,
make disciples and serve those in need.
Every believer is a witness for JESUS CHRIST
while conversion is the work of the HOLT SPIRIT.

We believe that at the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgement.

Those forgiven through CHRIST will enjoy eternal fellowship with GOD in heaven.
Those who rejected GOD will be eternally separated from GOD's presence.

We believe that the BIBLE is the sole basis for our belief.
It is uniquely inspired, without error and the final authority
on all matters of faith and conduct.

The Providence of God [Philippians 4:10]

In this day of scientific achievement, we hear less and less about the providence of God. But the Word of God clearly teaches the providential workings of God in nature and in the lives of His people.

The story of Joseph and his brothers illustrates the meaning of providence [Genesis 37-50].

"God did send me before you to preserve life!" [Genesis 45:5]

But as for you, you thought evil......[Genesis 50:20].

This is the providence of God. His hand ruling and over-ruling in the affairs of life. Paul experienced this divine providence in his ministry and life [Romans 8:28].

God in His providence has caused the Church in Philippi to become concerned about Paul's needs and it come at the very time Paul needed their love most. They had been concerned, but they lack the opportunity to help. Many Christians today have the opportunities, but they lack the concern!.

Life is not a series of accidents, it is a series of opportunities.

"I will guide thee with my eyes". [Psalms 32:8]

Abraham called God Jehovah-Jireh (the Lord will see to it] [Genesis 22:14]

He goeth before His own sheep [John 10:4].

This is the providence of God, a wonderful source of contentment.

Happy Parents' Day Celebration

Family Verses

Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
—Colossians 3:18-21

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
—Philippians 1:9-11

JUNE 2009 BULLETIN

Wherever we look in modern society, we see division and rebellion.

Husbands and wives divorcing each other; children are rebelling against their parents. Men have tried education and every other approach, but nothing seems to work.

Paul's solution to the regenration - a new heart from God and a new submission to Christ and to one another. Paul saw in Christian home an illustration of the relationship between Christ and the Church.

God established marriage for many reasons. It meets man's emotional needs [Genesis 2:19]. It has a special purpose in the bearing of children to continue the human race [Genesis 1:28]. A physical purpose for marriage - the help fulfill the normal desires given them by God [1 Corinthians 6:1-3]

In Ephesians 5 shows also a spiritual purpose in marriage, as the husband and wife experience with each other the submission and the love of Christ [Ephesians 5:22-23]. Ephesians 6:1 Children ....

Obedience brings blessing [Ephesians 6:2b-3]. The Christian child who honors his parents can expect two blessings. It will bring long life and it will be well with.

Paul was stating a principal: when they obey their parents in The Lord. they will escape a good deal of sin and danger and thus avoid the things that could threaten or shorten their lives.

God enriches the life of the obedient child no matter how long he may live on earth. Sin always robs us; Obedience always enrich us.

Little Bobby was spending the weekend with his grandmother.
His grandmother decided to take him to the park on Saturday morning.
It has been snowing all night and everything was beautiful.
His grandmother remarked..."Doesn't it look like an artist painted this scenery? Did you know God painted this just for you?"
Bobby said, "Yes, God did it and he did it left handed."
This confused his granmother a bit, and she asked him
"What makes you said God did this with his left hand?"
"Well, "said Bobby, "we learned at Sunday School last week that Jesus sits on God's right hand!"
