MARCH 2010 BULLETIN

Keep Seeking The Lord

As for you my son Solomon,if you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Chronicles 15:2
The Lord is with you while are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. Now is the time to seek God. God want us to draw near to God.

James 4:8-10
Cleanse your hands, purify your hearts, lament, mourn and weep, humble yourselves in the sight of God.

Chronicles focuses on the heart of God's people. The heart is referred, repeatedly, because our actions follow the leanings of our heart.

1 Chronicles 2:19
Set your heart and soul to seek the Lord.

Malachi 3:1
And the Lord whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple.

Church now is the time to seek God.

Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.

Out Of Gas

A nun who works for a local home health care agency was out making her rounds when she ran out of gas. As luck would have it there was a station just down the street. She walked to the station to borrow a can with enough gas to start the car and drive to the station for a fill up.

The attendant regretfully told her that the only can he owned had just been loaned out, but if she would care to wait he was sure it would be back shortly.

Since the nun was on the way to see a patient she decided not to wait and walked back to her car. After looking through her car for something to carry to the station to fill with gas, she spotted a bedpan she was taking to the patient. Always resourceful, she carried it to the station, filled it with gasoline, and carried it back to her car.

As she was pouring the gas into the tank of her car two men walked by. One of them turned to the other and said: "Now that is what I call faith!"
