"SPIRITUAL SIGHT"

The Need Of The Hour

Sight is an important faculty for our daily life in this world. But a Christian, in reality, lives actually as a part of two words - physical and spiritual. Therefore, our seeing should be two fold too. - physical and spiritual, the latter more important than the former. Once we are born again, we move from being only 'physical' begins to 'spiritual' begins.

Our natural eyes are opened at birth and our spiritual ones of our conversion. Till we are born again, we live only by our natural eyes. Once we are born again, our spiritual eyes are opened and we learn to use and live by our spirit sight.

But many believers have allowed their spiritual sight to deteriorate due to disuse or neglect. The need of the hour is to have our spiritual eyes reopened. we must learn to live and walk by our spiritual sight,

What does it really mean to live by our spiritual sight, or have our spiritual eyes opened?

What difference would this insight make in our lives?
Let's look at 2 Cor 4:17-18

For our light affliction, which is for the moment, work for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at things which we are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen as eternal.

Out light affliction obtains for us an eternal weight of glory. ONLY, when we respond with eyes set on eternal values it creates within us and NOT when we react as natural beings. As long as we keep blaming people around us for all the pain we go through and not see the hand of GOD and in these times and circumstances, we are not living by Spirit sight.

36 Lessons Life Taught Me

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

11. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

12. Don't compare your life to others.
You have no idea what their journey is all about.

13. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

14. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.
But don't worry; God never blinks.

15. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

16. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

17. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

18. When it comes to going after what you love in life,
don't take no for an answer.

19. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.  

20. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 
‘In five years, will this matter?'  

21. Always choose life.  

22. Believe in Miracles.

There comes a point in your life

when you realize:   
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won't anymore...
And who always will.
So, don't worry
about people from your past,
there's a reason why they
didn't make it to your future.

The real measure of a man's wealth
is what he has invested in eternity.
